Entry Requirements

This qualification has no formal entry requirement. However, it should be noted that this qualification is not intended to supply operational or technical skills that are used in conjunction with competitive systems and practices skills.

This qualification assumes that a learner has current or past work experience where operational or technical skills have already been gained and a supervisory, facilitation or similar level of responsibility exists. The qualification is not suitable for direct entry from school.

Pathways

After achieving this qualification, candidates may undertake MSS40322 Certificate IV Competitive Systems and Practices.

Career Information

Job roles related to this qualification may be in small or large organisations and include individuals who must support, facilitate or lead the work of others, for example, team leaders, process or operational specialists in production, office, transport and logistics, members of project teams implementing competitive systems and practices, and other job roles which require similar skills. The qualification can also apply to tradespersons in a maintenance or production role.

• Certificate III in Competitive Systems and Practices (MSS30316)

As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this qualification is nationally recognised. The learner will also be awarded 

• Certified Lean Six Sigma Practitioner™ – Lean Fundamental certification
   

Investment

Duration:

• 420 hours (maximum nominal)

• In the workplace, this course is typically delivered over a period of between 12-18 months depending on the level of existing skills and experience. 
   

COST:

• Full Fee for Service*: $4,000

• Victorian VET Funding per hour**: $7.50

• Recognised Prior Learning: $1,750

*  Tuition fees are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.

Training Program Design 

Before commencement of the training program, we undertake an extensive design and development phase that includes:

• Identifying goals and KPIs for the program

This design ensures content is relevant and improvements can be sustained in the workplace.

Assessment

Participants are assessed via completion of required tasks and a demonstration of skills. Assessment activities may include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrations

• Research assignments

• Role plays

• Presentations

• Reports

• Evidence portfolios

• Written and/or verbal questioning

• Group or individual workplace projects

Skills Recognition

Skills Recognition is the process of gaining formal recognition for skills and knowledge that have been obtained through work history, previous study and life experience. Skills Recognition is an assessment-only process - there is no formal training involved, although you may choose to complete further training as a result of the assessment process. Skills Recognition is made up of one or more of the following processes including credit transfer and recognition of prior learning.

Postponement or Cancellation

It may be necessary to cancel or postpone courses due to insufficient enrolments or funding changes.
